A: Airheads Balloon Art serves an approximately 20 mile radius of the City of Pittsburgh, PA. In addition to thousands of
residential and business locations, Airheads offers delivery to most hospitals and colleges/universities as well. To see if we'll
deliver to your recipient, please visit our delivery area page.
A: Sure. You are more than welcome to pick up your order between the hours of 10am and 4pm Monday through Friday.
For pickup during other hours, please contact us to make special arrangements!
A: Yes! We will substitute balloons of lesser or equal value for a different theme or occasion at no charge. Additional charges
may apply when adding balloons or substituting balloons of greater value.
A: Our balloon arrangements last a good long time. While plain latex balloons will only float for a matter of hours,
Airheads Balloon Art treats the latex balloons in our premium arrangements with a flight extender. With the flight extender,
you'll get float times of anywhere from 3 days to 3 months, depending on indoor conditions and balloon size. Our foil balloons
will float for a week or more, again depending on indoor conditions.
A: Same Day Delivery is available Monday through Friday for orders placed before 9am. Occasionally our delivery schedule
fills up earlier, so order as early as possible to ensure the delivery date you would like...or place your order online up until 9am at www.balloonplanet.com
A: Yes Airheads Balloon Art delivers 7 days a week. Saturday & Sunday orders must be placed by 4pm on Friday or earlier.
A: Yes. A delivery fee based on the distance from our shop on Pittsburgh's historic South Side is added to each delivery.
However, if you would like to visit our shop during regular business hours to pick up your order, there is no fee.
A: Certainly! Our Balloon Arrangements can be delivered at an exact time for a fee of $20 plus standard delivery between
the hours of 10am and 4pm. For deliveries before 10am and after 4pm the fee is $30 plus standard delivery.
A: Airheads Balloon Art makes every attempt to deliver your arrangement to the recipient. If no one answers upon
knocking/ringing bell, we first call the recipient in case they are indisposed. If no answer via phone we will attempt
to leave their balloon arrangement with up to 3 different neighbors. If nobody is able/willing to accept the balloons,
they will be bagged & left attached to a rear door if possible. If, for some reason, this is not possible, the arrangement will be returned to our shop, and the recipient will receive a phone message and a door tag alerting them that they have a special Balloon Arrangement awaiting them. You will be notified by phone that delivery was not possible.
A: Airheads will gladly attempt a second delivery. The cost of $20 plus standard delivery fee will be billed to sender.
Second deliveries are only made upon request of sender.
A: Yes! Many businesses and/or college dormitories require that we leave arrangements for absent recipients with an
attendant at the main desk or reception area. Such instances will be handled on a case-by-case basis, according to the
instructions of the sender and the rules established by building management.
To place an order for delivery, call our office and let an Airhead assist you. We will need to know:
If you are sending to a business, then please check on their delivery protocol and let the receptionist know to expect the
delivery, in case the recipient is out of the office. If we will be delivering to a residence, please be sure to find out if a
neighbor will accept it in case the recipient should be out when we arrive.
We include a balloon care card with each delivery that can be personalized with your message! We'll be glad to help
you send the right message with your balloon delivery.
